The Servants of Christ Jesus appreciates your consideration of a gift of stock to the community!

Please consider the following steps when gifting stock to the Servants of Christ Jesus

How to donate

To begin the process, please contact the Servants of Christ Jesus Development Office at servants@scjesus.org or 720.458.3038.  A member of our development office will help answer any questions you will have and provide you with the Servants of Christ Jesus account information that you will need to process your donation.

Stock Disposition Policy

The policy of the Servants of Christ Jesus is to sell all stocks and securities the community receives on the same business day that the stock is transferred to the Servants of Christ Jesus, without exception.

Tax Receipt Policy

The total amount received by the Servants of Christ Jesus from the sale of the stock will be recorded as the value of the gift for internal reporting purposes. The Servants of Christ Jesus will provide you with an acknowledgement of the date of transfer, the number of shares given, and the name of the stock. Your donation receipt will indicate the highest and lowest trading price of your stock on the date it was received by the Servants of Christ Jesus.  If your donation consists of a mutual fund, your donation receipt will indicate the value of the fund on the date it was received by the Servants of Christ Jesus.  As is the case with all noncash contributions, it is your responsibility to assign a value to your gift for tax purposes in accordance with IRS regulations.

Restrictive Stock

If you are considering a gift of restrictive stock, please contact the Servants of Christ Jesus Development Office at servants@scjesus.org or 720.458.3038.  Due to the burden placed on the community in complying with the restrictions during market fluctuations, the Servants of Christ Jesus prefer that you please remove the restriction before making a donation.

Taxation Advice

The Servants of Christ Jesus cannot provide tax advice concerning your gift of stock. Please consult a tax advisor on the rules governing the donations of stock.
