Tithing to Poor & Missions
One way our commitment to poverty is practiced is through double-tithing. 10% of non-restricted income goes directly to relief of poverty, hunger, & homelessness. Another 10% supports evangelization, parish & missionary activity of the Catholic Church.
Non-Profit Administration
Our community is a registered 510(c)(3) non-profit corporation currently with one employee. Costs associated with the administration of our non-profit include payroll, employer taxes, office supplies, postage, and administrative business services.
Mission Formation & Outreach
Formation costs include novitiate admittance, poverty pilgrimage, third-world missionary formation, seminary education, ongoing personal and communal renewal. Mission outreach costs include missionary travel expenses & outreach publications.
Community Administration
Community administration costs are associated with the care of members’ living expenses and long-term care for the community. These cost-of-living expenses include housing, utilities, insurance, healthcare, groceries, auto expenses, property maintenance, etc.
